My acoustic guitar making course enables students to design and build their own steel string, classical (nylon string) or jazz guitar. From the basics of tool sharpening and timber selection, to the final lacquering, all aspects of the construction are featured. The course generally takes students at least four years to complete as the
evening class environment only allows two hours a night, although some students do attend both evenings. The average cost for the materials is between £350 for a steel string or classical guitar to around £600/700 for a carve top jazz guitar. The gallery section takes you to many examples of students work completed over the last twenty years of the courses history.
